Second Hollister store in Barcelona
Hollister will open a new store in Barcelona. Further more than the store in the "La Maquinista", they will open a new one in an other shopping centre; "Gran Via 2". They have rented an establishment of 700 m2. Apparently they chose the location for the success of the shopping centre (all though it is honestly not one of my favorite shopping centers in Barcelona).
There has also been a lot of talk that an Abercrombie & Fitch (from the same brand) would open in the centre of Barcelona in Gran Via with Paseig de Gracia. Rumours say that everything way ready for the store to open, but in the last minute it was decided not to open. Apparently the decision has been taken because of the general bad revenues of Hollister and Abercrombie & Fitch.

Caviar on your nails!
A new trend has emerged - Caviar nails!
The cool nail-brand Ciaté has created a new trend which is now also available in Sephora in Denmark (for buyers abroad they are also available at http://www.ciate.co.uk/caviar-manicure.html/ ).
The nail-polish originally made by the owner Charlotte Knight for a photo-shoot - has a 3.dimensional effect and is the first of its kind. It is available in 3 different colours black, white and rainbow (all very cool!). They are sold for 160 kr. each (21,5 Euro) - and on their own homepage you can get them for 18 Euro.
I can´t choose!!

New Apple store in Barcelona centre
On the 28th of July a new Apple store opened in Barcelona on Paseo de Gracia 1 (on Plaza Catalunya). It has been opened a pair of weeks but I did not have the chance to stop by the store before yesterday.
The store is huge, apparently it is the biggest Apple store in the south of Europe. It has 3 giant floors and there are 300 people working there.
The Apple store has the usual Apple style of many wooden tables with Apple products, so as a client you can try the products before purchase. On the upper floor there are tables for new users, where they can give you training in how to use the products. There are also Genius tables (since I am not one, I am unsure of what they actually talked about at those tables). There were so many sales assistants around (it seemed like there was the same amount of sales assistants as customers), most with that "I am an Apple nerd" look.
It is definitely worth the visit, especially if you are an Apple fan. Nevertheless, on a warm summer day, the upper floor just gets too warm, so for a longer visit maybe wait a until fall.

Tiger in Barcelona
I had a very pleasant surprise yesterday; I discovered that one of my favourite Danish stores has arrived to Spain!
For you that don't already know Tiger, it is a very cheap store selling things for the home with prices in the same ranges as a Chinese Bazar but with very cool designs. It is a Danish store that has have a lot of success in Denmark since 1995 thanks to their innovative designs, and their respect towards the environment, social responsibility and the quality of their products.
Apparently they now have over 100 stores all around Europe; UK, Spain, Holland, Germany, Italy, Eastern Europe and of course Scandinavia. They do not have franchises, only their own store, in order be sure to maintain the standards of the stores. And I have to say, from my first visit to Tiger in Spain, that it worked. The store was nice and clean, the design and the products were the same as the stores in Denmark and the sales assistants were really polite and nice! (something rare to find here in Spain..) For a moment I felt like I was back home Denmark, especially since many products still their Danish labels and texts.
To have an idea of their products, I have added some pictures below:

3 Cake tins for 5€
I do have to say that the products are slightly more expensive here than in Denmark, but I will happily pay a bit more to get the products here instead of having to carry them all the way from Denmark (which I usually do..).
To find the stores in Barcelona go to:
- Ronda Universitat, 11
- Roselló, 247

Maison Martin Margiela for H&M
A couple of days ago HandM announced another collaboration!
This time the are going to work with the French fashion-house Maison Martin Marqiela which was founded in 1988 and are known for always doing things their own way.
Personally I do not know this label, but from what I have read about them it sounds like it could be a very interesting collection! You can find the collection on-line and in selected stores from the 15th of November and the collection is going to contain clothes and accessories for both men and women.
Interesting!

New COOL Vero Moda store in Aarhus
About a week ago Vera Moda reopened their biggest store in the centre of Aarhus - and I must say WOW!
The store has really improved massively and it has a much more international feeling about it - I managed to shoot a couple of pictures to share here :)
But go and have a look yourself, it is really worth it!

A runway in the ceiling along with a kind of green trees hanging
in the air all over the entrance - Cool!
A In-store for their more expensive label "Just Vero Moda"
There are screens all over the stores showing videos
from fashion shows with models showing the newest clothes
A "HAY Marke"t In-store - which I cant really relate to, they are both in
the Bestseller group so it is not that surprising
but in my opinion they do not relate to the same customer segments
- and I would be afraid to damage HAY´s good reputation
A new on-line area where the customers can surf the net

Believe it or not; even more stuff from Primark
So I start to see a pattern here; apparently outside of the Sales seasons Primark is the only place I shop! Good thing that the semi annual sales are coming up next month so we can get some variety from me!
Anyways, I was back in Primark in L'Illa Diagonal (twice this month!) and here are the pics of the things I got.
I'm going on holidays to a tropical island, so I wanted to get some beach clothes. This dress which also can be turned into a skirt was 10€.
I also got this beach dress, which I think will be very nice to put over the bikini after being on the beach. It also has the cut you see everywhere (short front, longer in the back) that must be the cut of the season. It was 7€.
I also needed new jeans (in general) and found these two skinny jeans. I couldn't decide on the colour so I got the darker as well as the light blue ones. The fabrics are quite light, and they look nice with the legs rolled up so they will go well for summer as well. 15€ per pair.
And then the shoes; got a pair of snake patterned ballerinas for 6€, a pair of espadrilles for 5€ as well as a pair of leather sandals with a small heel for 15€.
I also found this dress with a black belt and bottoms in the back, it was on sales for only 5€.
A scarf is always useful, summer and winter. This one is a mix of leopard and zebra pattern, it cost 4€
I also needed a small bag for the holidays and found this one with leopard pattern on sales for only 2€. I also got this new very clever thing; a bag organizer. Basically its for the oversized bags where you can never find anything cos they are lost somewhere in the bottom of the bag. The idea is that you put the organizer within the big bag and thanks to all its little pockets its again possible to find all your stuff. It cost 3,5€
And last but not least, just wanted to add a picture of my cat that represents very well the love I think most women have for shoes.. ;)
