We are two friends, both addicted to shopping and we love to do so while not spending an obscene amount of money. One lives in Barcelona and the other one in Denmark. With this blog we want to share our shopping results with each other as well as trends we like. New shoes from Mango
During the month of December I have a general shopping role; I cannot buy anything for myself only Christmas presents. Firstly, with all the presents, you really can't afford any more shopping and secondly it is just silly to buy clothes in December when everything is going to be on sale in January.
Nevertheless, what I have discovered while doing my X-mas shopping is that many stores have already started with some kind of sales. In many display windows you will see signs of 30%, 40% even 50% of discounts. I guess we don't need to underline how badly the economy is going and how desperate the stores are for people to buy more!
I went to Mango Outlet this weekend and what do I find? They have discounts! When buying from the new collection you got a 30% off when buying one article and a 40% off when buying two articles. I did get one Christmas present and then I found these shoes I could not say no to:
Leather ballerinas with nit bows. Was before being sold in the outlet 45€, then reduced to 20€ and with my 40% discount I only paid 12€. Seriously, I don't think I could have done a better bargain in January...

Custo Pop-up Store
Custo Barcelona is currently opening what they are calling "Pop-up" stores around Spain. The concept is to open a space where they sell Custo clothes with up to 70% of discounts during a limited amount of time.
In Barcelona they opened the Pop-up store on the Shopping Night (the 30/11) at Pg. Gracia 26. Unfortunately, the Pop-up store's last day is today.
The concept was really cool; it was placed in a garage and not only could you buy clothes but there was also a corner serving drinks, a DJ playing music and in the background you could enjoy a Custo catwalk.
Here are the information for the Pop-up stores in the rest of Spain:
MADRID – Tiendas en Fuencarral y Gran Vía – Del 1/12 al 11/12
VALENCIA – Tienda en Jorge Juan – Del 1/12 al 11/12
ZARAGOZA – Centro Comercial Puerta Cinegia (Plaza España) – Del 14/12 al 21/12
LLEIDA – Institut d’Estudis Ilerdencs – Del 29/11 al 3/12
PLATJA D’ARO – Avinguda S’Agaró 4 – Del 3/12 al 10/12
My boyfriend who is actually a bigger fan of Custo than I am visited the store early and found him-self some really nice offers. He also had a gift for me; this nice sporty hoodie jacket.

Most awaited store openings in Psg. de Gracia Barcelona
Paseo de Gracia, the most luxury shopping street in Barcelona, is always in movement. More and more interesting stores have opened or are in the process of opening. According to the newspaper Lavanguardia this is what we can look forward to for the near future:
The second Apple store in Barcelona will be opened just next to Plaza Catalunya (more precisely on the corner of Paseo de Gracia and Plaza Catalunya). The size is of 3200 square meters and they will be distributed on two floors. The construction of the building of the former bank Banesto is ongoing and the store will most probably be opened in the second semester of 2012.
Apparently Abercrombie & Fitch will be opening a store of 2500 square meters distributed on several floors. They will install themselves in the building of the headquarters of the insurance company Generali, located at Paseo de Gracia, 11 (Paseo de Gracia crossing Gran Vía). The construction has not yet started as the brand is waiting for the licensing they have applied for at the city council.
Mango has during quite some time advertised that a new store is opening on Paseo de Gracia (next to Tiffany & Co., between the streets Diputació and Consell de Cent). Nevertheless, all though the signs have been on the facade for almost a year, there is no news to when exactely the store will actually open. To be continued....
